Today, Congressman Dan Meuser from Pennsylvania's 9th District announced his membership in the DOGE Caucus. This caucus is a bicameral and bipartisan effort focused on addressing waste, fraud, abuse, and inefficiencies within federal government agencies.
The DOGE Caucus will work in conjunction with President Trump's advisory council known as the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). This department is led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy.
Congressman Meuser expressed his enthusiasm about joining the initiative. He stated, “This week, I had an opportunity to spend nearly an hour and a half with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to discuss their plans for the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). I was able to ask questions and share my recommendations on rooting out waste, fraud, redundancies, and unnecessary bureaucracy in the federal government. DOGE will stop the federal bureaucracy from becoming an unelected fourth branch of government. As a member of the House DOGE Caucus, I look forward to working alongside President Trump’s advisory council, the Department of Government Efficiency, to make much-needed reforms to regain a limited government.”
Meuser's meeting with Musk and Ramaswamy took place on Capitol Hill this past Thursday.
