Today marks the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks. Congressman Dan Meuser from Pennsylvania's 9th District shared his reflections on this significant day in American history.

Meuser recalled, "Let us truly Never Forget, the morning of September 11th, 2001. Some, like me, drove my daughter to school on the way to work. It seemed like the beginning of a typical day, but as memorable an extraordinarily beautiful morning in Pennsylvania and the northeast." He described how his routine was interrupted by news of a plane striking the World Trade Center. "Turning on the TV, we all began to watch," he said. The situation became clearer when a second plane hit and reports emerged about attacks at the Pentagon and heroism over Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

He remembered visiting Ground Zero shortly after the attacks to deliver scooters requested by the NYPD for first responders who were tirelessly working in the disaster zone. "So many lost loved ones, family, friends that day. Myself included," Meuser stated.

Reflecting on America's response to these events, Meuser emphasized unity and patriotism: "We were all attacked, and we united as Americans." He invoked Abraham Lincoln's words about ensuring those who died did not do so in vain.

"Today we remember all of those lost on that September morning," Meuser concluded. He honored both victims and heroes who responded with courage during and after the attacks.
