HARRISBURG - Rep. Jamie Barton (R-Berks/Schuylkill) announced he will host his second annual Senior Expo on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Landingville Fire Company.
The expo provides residents with the opportunity to learn about resources and programs offered by state government, as well as local nonprofit and community groups in the area. Health care providers will also conduct several health screenings.
“There are so many services out there to help our seniors,” Barton said, “but it’s not always easy to find exactly which program or service would work best. That’s why I’m bringing them all under one roof to make a one-stop shop for older Pennsylvanians. I think last year’s event was a big success, and we’re hoping to help even more people this year!”
