The post office located at 101 S. 8th St., Lebanon, has been officially renamed the Lieutenant William D. Lebo Post Office Building. This renaming is in honor of Lt. Lebo, a Lebanon city police officer who tragically lost his life while on duty.

Lt. Lebo was a dedicated member of the city police force for 40 years before he was killed on March 31, 2022. He was responding to a domestic-related burglary incident when he lost his life, just 30 days shy of his retirement.

The bill to authorize the renaming, House Resolution 3865, was introduced by Congressman Dan Meuser (PA-09). The bill received presidential approval when President Joe Biden signed it into law on Monday.
