Rep. Dan Meuser, R-Pa., expressed concerns to Newsmax on Friday regarding the Small Business Administration's (SBA) initiative to register voters in Michigan, describing it as "an illegal electioneering gambit."
Earlier this week, the House Committee on Small Business issued a subpoena to the SBA following its announcement of a joint effort with the Michigan Department of State to promote voter registration in the state.
Meuser, who serves on both the House Committees on Small Business and Financial Services, stated during an "American Agenda" interview: "The SBA has a mission statement to assist and protect the interests of small businesses, to help strengthen the economy. It says nothing about entering agreements with a state secretary of state for the purpose of registering primarily Democrat voters."
