State Rep. Mark M. Gillen | Pennsylvania 128th Legislative District
State Representative Mark Gillen of Pennsylvania has tested positive for COVID-19. The representative, who serves the Berks and Lancaster areas, shared a statement regarding his condition.
"I recently was exposed to, tested for and learned I have contracted the COVID-19 virus," said Rep. Gillen. He noted that he is experiencing mild symptoms and plans to continue working from home during his quarantine period.
Rep. Gillen assured that his exposure and subsequent positive test occurred while traveling outside of Pennsylvania. As such, it should not impact his colleagues in the General Assembly, state Capitol workers, or district office staff. "My offices in Harrisburg and in our district will remain open as I remain in quarantine," he stated.
