Rep. Jamie Barton is organizing a free license plate replacement event for residents of the 124th Legislative District. The event, in collaboration with the Tilden Township Police Department, will take place on Thursday, August 15, from 3-6 p.m. at Cabela’s parking lot in Hamburg.

Barton highlighted the importance of this initiative by stating, “You could face hefty fines if your vehicle’s license plate is damaged, faded or peeling.” He further explained that attendees could avoid these fines and receive a new plate at no cost. "As soon as the Tilden Township police officers sign off, our team will help you fill out the proper paperwork to get you your new plate."

Participants are required to bring their driver's license and vehicle registration card to the event. After processing by PennDOT, they will receive a new license plate free of charge.

Registration for the event can be completed by contacting Barton’s Tamaqua office at 570-668-1240 or Hamburg office at 484-660-3721. Online registration is also available.
