Rep. Jamie Barton (R-Berks/Schuylkill) will be hosting his second annual expo for senior citizens. The event aims to provide older residents with information about resources and programs offered by state government, as well as local nonprofit and community groups in the area. Health care providers will also be present to offer several health screenings.
Participants at the expo will include Barton, staffers from the offices of Congressman Dan Meuser and Sen. Dave Argall, and representatives from state agencies, local nonprofits, and community groups.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 19, at 10 a.m., at the Landingville Fire Company, located at 1 Firehouse Road, Landingville.
