BCTC East & West Campus
The first day of the school year for all BCTC students is Tuesday, August 24, 2021. Your school district and BCTC calendars are very similar, however, there may be several conflicts during the year where your high school is closed, on early dismissal or late start and BCTC is open. We refer to these schedule situations as “Conflict Days”.
Students who attend BCTC are expected to follow the approved BCTC school calendar, even on days when your sending high school is not in session. BCTC’s curriculum provides students with the opportunity to earn industry recognized certifications and licenses which have minimum hour requirements; therefore, it is critically important to your success to attend every day BCTC is open. BCTC will provide transportation from your high school to BCTC and back on all conflict days according to the regular schedule. Please recognize, you are responsible for getting to and from your high school during days when your high school is not in session, unless your district has made other arrangements. Should a student not be able to attend on any day, including a conflict day, a parent/guardian must call the BCTC attendance line to report the absence or send an absence note signed by a parent/guardian.
