Green Valley Elementary School issued the following announcement on Jul. 8.
Dear Parents,
I hope you have been having an enjoyable summer and are looking forward to the upcoming school year at Green Valley Elementary School. On Tuesday, August 10th, we will have two sessions for our JumpStart to Kindergarten. The purpose of this jumpstart is to help our newest Green Valley students get ready for an exciting and important first year of school. They will meet all of our kindergarten teachers and some new kindergarten friends. Also, the children will take a short school bus ride and work together with teachers on a few activities in the classrooms.
There are two available sessions for our Kindergarten JumpStart, the AM session is from 8:30-10:30 and the PM session is from 12:30-2:30. Please call Mrs. Cheryl Raffauf, GV Secretary, if you have not already signed up for a session at 610-670-0180 ext 2810 by July 22nd.
On August 10th, please bring your child to the main entrance door of the school and sign in at the desk located in the lobby. After your child has been signed in, a teacher will escort him/her to one of our kindergarten classrooms. Students will be picked up in our lobby at the conclusion of each session.
Parents and students are also invited to the building on August 16th for a brief tour and overview of the building. Please join us for a tour at 9:00, 12:00, or 4:00 on the 16th. The tour will last approximately 15 minutes. I have also attached a Kindergarten Overview for parents with some brief information for you to view prior to the tour and our school year. The link and presentation will be posted on our website as well.
Finally, on August 18th between 3:30-5:00, we will have our Popsicle/Packet Pickup that will provide your child’s staggered start date and teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. This event will be outside in front of our building.
