Today, Congressman Dan Meuser (PA-09) made a statement regarding the House's consideration of border security and foreign aid supplemental bills.

Meuser expressed his concerns about the Biden Administration's approach to domestic security and global affairs. He criticized the administration for its open border policies, stating, "the Biden Administration has repeatedly demonstrated it’s not up to the challenge of keeping America and her allies safe."

Regarding the issue of border security, Meuser highlighted the importance of pairing aid for Ukraine with border security measures. He lamented the failure to include such provisions in the legislation, stating, "With their votes against border security legislation last week, Congressional Democrats affirmed they are okay with these consequences of Biden’s Border Crisis."

On the topic of Ukraine, Meuser voiced his support for the Ukrainian people's resistance against Russia's invasion and emphasized the need for strict military aid. He also criticized the distribution of economic assistance without robust accountability measures and highlighted disparities in funding contributions from the EU and other allies.

In terms of aid to Israel, Meuser expressed strong support for allocating funds for missile defense systems. However, he raised concerns about the distribution of aid to Gaza compared to Israel and stressed the importance of rigorous oversight to prevent aid diversion to adversaries.

Meuser also addressed the passage of the 21st Century Peace Through Strength Act, which imposes sanctions on Russia, China, and Iran. He endorsed punitive measures to punish aggressors and advocated for a return to a strong foreign policy stance similar to that of the previous administration.
