WASHINGTON, D.C.— Congressman Dan Meuser (PA-09) recently participated in the House Small Business Committee’s “Small Business Showcase” event in the Capitol Building, where entrepreneurs gathered to discuss the challenges they face due to regulations and taxes. Among the attendees were Vince and Selina Pulizzi, owners of Labels by Pulizzi, a family-owned business from Williamsport.

Labels by Pulizzi, in operation since 1968, is a custom printing company that employs 32 individuals in Lycoming County. The business has served its clients with over a billion custom labels throughout its history.

During the event, held in conjunction with National Small Business Week, Congressman Meuser emphasized the importance of small businesses, stating, "Small businesses are the heart of the American economy and the foundation of our communities." He also expressed his commitment to supporting entrepreneurs, saying, "Advocating for pro-growth initiatives that benefit entrepreneurs is one of my top priorities."

Regarding the current economic climate, Vince and Selina Pulizzi shared their perspective as third-generation business owners, stating, "We recognize the current climate in our nation and know it’s more important than ever to work together with our leaders to initiate change."

In his role as the Chairman of the Small Business Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax, and Capital Access, Congressman Meuser highlighted his dedication to fighting for policies that promote small business success while opposing what he views as burdensome regulations and taxes imposed by the Biden Administration.

The event not only showcased the resilience of small businesses like Labels by Pulizzi but also underscored the challenges they face in navigating the current economic landscape. The U.S. Small Business Administration has sponsored National Small Business Week for the past 60 years, recognizing the vital contributions of entrepreneurs and small business owners to the nation's economy.
