Siemens Healthineers and Tower Health have announced a 10-year Value Partnership aimed at advancing precision imaging and patient care within the Tower Health system. This collaboration includes significant upgrades in diagnostic imaging and digital intelligence for radiology, oncology, and cardiology sectors.

The partnership will focus on the standardization and life-cycle management of Tower Health's imaging equipment. This will involve upgrading their radiology, cardiology, and oncology departments with Siemens Healthineers' advanced equipment, such as computed tomography, magnetic resonance, and Varian radiation-oncology therapies. Through this joint effort, Tower Health aims to enhance the overall efficiency and capacity of its healthcare network.

"This partnership is about more than upgrading equipment; it empowers Tower Health and our staff to uphold our dedication to clinical excellence and innovation, ensuring the delivery of smarter, faster, and more connected care to our patients and the communities we serve for years to come," stated Michael Stern, president and CEO of Tower Health. "We are proud to establish a strategic partnership with Siemens Healthineers, granting us access to state-of-the-art technology during the next decade. Such strategic partnerships are crucial for securing our enduring success, our dedication to pioneering advancements, and our exceptional clinical standards. Together, we are building a stronger Tower Health."

The agreement also provides access to Siemens Healthineers' digital automation tools. These include proprietary algorithms designed to enhance clinical operations and streamline reporting processes within the healthcare system.

"Our collaboration with Tower Health presents a significant opportunity to support a major health system in our own community," said John Kowal, president of the Americas at Varian, a Siemens Healthineers company. "By implementing advanced diagnostic imaging systems, technology solutions, and Varian oncology therapies, Tower Health is making a significant investment in its hospitals and, ultimately, in enhancing patient care."

Effective April 14, 2025, John Kowal will assume the role of president and head of the Americas at Siemens Healthineers. Value Partnerships between Siemens Healthineers and healthcare providers focus on creating value by melding providers' expertise with the technological and industry knowledge of Siemens Healthineers. This approach aims to address challenges like workforce constraints and enhancing healthcare access in underserved areas.

Siemens Healthineers, known for its breakthroughs in healthcare technology, has operations in over 180 countries and was responsible for approximately €22.4 billion in revenue in fiscal 2024. Tower Health, with facilities spanning several counties in Pennsylvania, is dedicated to high-quality patient services and has a strong focus on academic medicine, in collaboration with Drexel University.
