Senator Chris Gebhard and Representative Jamie Barton are set to host a special event honoring veterans from the 48th Senatorial District. The veterans appreciation lunch is scheduled for Saturday, November 9 at Cabela’s, located in Hamburg. The event will start with check-in at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch and a program at noon.

“There’s a certain enthusiasm in meeting with and talking to the people who embody the principles upon which our great country was founded,” stated Rep. Jamie Barton. “Sharing a meal and enjoying that fellowship is a healthy way to stay connected to these heroes.”

Senator Chris Gebhard emphasized the importance of the event, saying, “The men and women who have defended the American ideals we hold dear have influenced the history of the country, ensuring that we can continue to enjoy our many freedoms. I look forward to personally thanking the veterans who are able to attend the lunch we are hosting.”

Col. Frank Ryan, a former state representative and Iraq War veteran, will deliver the keynote speech during the event.

Veterans are allowed to bring one guest to the lunch. Due to limited space, veterans need to RSVP by contacting Gebhard’s district office at 610-562-3411 or registering online.
