Congressman Dan Meuser expressed support for President Donald J. Trump's recent address to the Joint Session of Congress. In his statement, Meuser praised Trump's commitment to what he described as the "Renewal of the American Dream," asserting that "Promises Made, Promises Kept is not just a slogan—it’s a reality."
Meuser criticized the previous administration under President Biden, attributing issues such as inflation, open borders, and global instability to it. He emphasized that Trump is focused on securing the nation and restoring prosperity.
"Since taking office, President Trump has delivered historic results," Meuser stated, highlighting a reported 93% decrease in unlawful border crossings. He credited policies like reinstating Remain in Mexico and restarting border wall construction with improving border security.
The congressman also discussed energy policy changes under Trump, including lifting an LNG export ban and reopening drilling operations. He mentioned that Pennsylvania would play a significant role in this energy resurgence.
Meuser noted fiscal responsibility efforts by Trump, citing $105 billion saved through initiatives by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). He added that these actions have brought real accountability to government spending.
On foreign policy, Meuser claimed that America is once again respected internationally due to Trump's strategies against Iran and China. Domestically, he advocated for parental involvement in education decisions and emphasized adherence to constitutional principles.
Meuser concluded by affirming House Republicans' support for Trump's agenda: "I look forward to working alongside the President to continue rebuilding our economy, securing our border, and ensuring America’s best days are ahead."
