Congressman Dan Meuser of Pennsylvania's 9th District has announced changes to his Pottsville office staff. Nathan Gerace, who has been with the congressman since his first term in 2019, will leave on February 18 to join Senator Dave McCormick’s team as Northeast Director.

Michael Shay, formerly the Director of Constituent Services & Grants, has been promoted to District Director. Shay, a long-time member of Meuser’s staff and former aide to Representative Lou Barletta, will now manage district operations and the team.

Evelyn Datte is set to join as District Coordinator. A recent graduate from Gettysburg College with a degree in Political Science and Public Policy, Datte previously worked as Finance Director for the Pennsylvania GOP.

"For six years Nathan has been an invaluable member of our team, and while we’ll certainly miss him in Pottsville, I know he’ll bring that same commitment to serving Pennsylvania in his new role with Senator McCormick,” said Congressman Meuser. “Michael Shay has spent years working directly with the people of PA-09, problem solving, and ensuring constituents get the help they need in an effective and timely manner. He brings a deep understanding of our district to the role, and there’s no one better suited to lead our district team. I’m also pleased to welcome Evelyn Datte—her energy, expertise, and passion for public service will make her an asset to our office as we continue working for the people of Northeast Central Pennsylvania."

Shay brings over ten years of experience in constituent services and community outreach. He is also active with the Boy Scouts of America. Datte is involved locally as chair of the Schuylkill County Young Republicans.
