The Board of Supervisors at it's February 28, 2023 Meeting will appoint current SHPD Corporal J. Matthew Hook to the position of Chief of Police. Attached to this post is a brief video providing Chief Hook's background and information. Chief Hook is an 18 year veteran of the SHPD and is well known and respected both within the SHPD and in the communities the SHPD serves.
Chief Hook has truly exhibited integrity, service and community throughout his career with the SHPD. The Board and Staff of South Heidelberg Township are excited to see Chief Hook begin his tenure officially as Police Chief. Congratulations Chief Hook, well deserved and best of luck moving forward!!
