The South Heidelberg Township Public Works team has been hard at work conducting proactive maintenance activities.  Here are some of the activities our crew is working on:

Sign Replacement.  Our public works team inspected 3,000+ traffic signs and has been working to replace those signs that were rated as needing replacement.

Swale Cleanup.  Our crew has been working to clean up and/or re-establish swales on roadsides to ensure proper stormwater flow and keep water from backing up onto roadways or impacting the base of roadways.

Roadside Clearance Trimming.  Trim backs to ensure proper clearance on roadways continues on our 58 miles of Township roads.  The Township is working on the acquisition of a new equipment that will improve and make more efficient our trimming efforts.

We have a very dedicated Public Works team consisting of Public Works Manager Bill Lanza, Assistant Manager Ryan Wilkes and team members Kim Steinman, Lynwood Lamm, Kevin Treese and Randy Sohn.  This group cares about our Township and keeps pushing ahead to improve and serve our citizens.  Thank you guys and keep up the great work!!!! #shtwpproud
