Dear Guardian and/or Parents
I hope you have been having an enjoyable summer and are looking forward to the upcoming school year at Green Valley Elementary School. On Wednesday, August 10, 2022 we will have two (2) sessions for our Jumpstart to Kindergarten. The purpose of this jumpstart session is to help our newest Green Valley students get ready for an exciting and important first year of school. They will have the opportunity to meet all of our kindergarten teachers and some new kindergarten friends. Also, the children will take a short bus ride and work together with teachers on a few activities in the classrooms.
There are two sessions for our Kindergarten Jumpstart, the AM session is from 8:30 to 10:30 and the PM session is from 12:30 to 2:30. Please access this link to select the session that best suits your schedule.
On August 10th, you will bring your child to the main entrance of the school and sign in at the desk located in the lobby. Once your child has been signed in, a teacher or staff member will accompany your child to one of our kindergarten classrooms. Students will be picked up at this same location at the conclusion of their session.
Parents and students are also invited to the building at 1:00 pm or 5:00 pm on August 16, 2022 for a brief tour and overview of the building. The tour will last approximately 15 minutes. No sign up is necessary for this event.
Finally, on August 18th between 4:00 – 5:30 pm we will have our Popsicle & Packet pickup. This packet will provide you with your child’s staggered start date and teacher for the 2022-23 school year. This event will be held outside the main entrance.
