Cumru Elementary School issued the following announcement on Oct. 6.
Hello Governor Mifflin High School families,
This morning, during the transition between classes at the high school, a teacher and a student heard another student reference a weapon. The teacher immediately reported the incident and our high school principals responded. There was a search completed and it was determined that the student was not in possession of a weapon of any sort.
Because this comment was made while many students were in the hallway, we want you to be aware to avoid the spread of misinformation.
Our principals are working with all parents and students involved and classes are continuing as scheduled.
