KUTZTOWN UNIVERSITY: College of Business Renews Prestigious AACSB Accreditation

Announcement

Kutztown University issued the following announcement on Apr. 22.

In 2015, Kutztown University completed a 10-year journey for prestigious accreditation in the College of Business. Five years later, KU celebrates continued excellence with renewed accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The Kutztown University College of Business has both AACSB and Commission on Sports Management Accreditation (COSMA) accredited programs.

"AACSB congratulates Kutztown University and Dr. Anne Carroll on extending accreditation,” said Stephanie M. Bryant, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB International. "The intense peer-review process confirms a school's continued focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching, research, curriculum development and student learning. KU’s dedication to delivering high quality business education will create the next generation of great leaders."

Founded in 1916, AACSB is the longest serving global accrediting body for the business schools that offer bachelor, master and doctoral degrees in business and accounting. AACSB accreditation is considered the hallmark of excellence in business education. Less than 5% of all schools in the world are accredited by AASCB.

"This achievement reflects the commitment of our faculty to ongoing improvement that ensures we are delivering the high-quality business programs our students need to succeed as professionals," said Dr. Anne Carroll, Dean of the College of Business. "Our faculty cultivate students' talents not just through the curriculum, but also by fostering professional engagement and creating experiential learning opportunities."

In addition to its accredited programs, KU's College of Business offers unique opportunities through the established and highly-regarded Small Business Development Center along with the Entrepreneurial Leadership Center, which operate on campus.
