U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced the arrest of multiple criminal illegal aliens convicted for murder, rape of a child, sexual contact with an individual less than 11 years old, and indecent assault, including Felipe Tahuilan in Berks County, Pennsylvania.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers arrested individuals convicted of the most serious offenses. The announcement detailed cases including Felipe Tahuilan from Mexico, who was convicted for rape of a child, corruption of minors, endangering the welfare of children, and aggravated assault in Berks County. The operations targeted individuals described as those who should never have been in the country in the first place.

Berks County in Pennsylvania had an estimated 7,000 unauthorized immigrants. Local law enforcement agencies have cooperated with federal immigration officials to address public safety concerns from repeat criminal offenders. Targeted removals such as the one involving Tahuilan help safeguard Pennsylvania communities from violent threats, according to Spotlight PA.
